The diverse terrain and variety of cultures of the region north of Pokhara makes the area the most popular trekking destination in the country. Four favorite treks, each with minimum of about one week and maximum of three-week treks to Kali-Gandaki basin include Manang region, Annapurna range, Jomsom and the Annapurna Sanctuary. Alpine meadows, moraines, glaciers and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range abound. The three hundred kilometer Annapurna Circuit combines the first two areas by crossing high altitude pass Manang Thorang-La (5,416 meters) and takes up to three weeks to complete.
Day 01: Kathmandu – Pokhara drive.
Day 02: Pokhara - Pothana (1870m) 5 hours walk
Day 03: Pothana - Ghandruk (1940m.) 7 hours walk
Day 04: Ghandruk - Tada pani (2540m.) 4 hours walk
Day 05: Tada pani - Ghore pani (2750m.) 5 and ½ hours walk
Day 06: Ghorepani - Poon hill (3210m.)
From Ghore pani 1 hours steep up hill to Poon hill(3210m) and look round panoramic views of Dhaulagiri region and Annapurna & Thakkhola valley and half hour back to Ghorepani and half day rest. This half-day rest here is very important because the Ghorepani is one of the best and famous view areas with covering by Rhododendron flowers and whole rounded panoramic mountain views.
Day 07: Ghorepani – Birethanti (1025m) –Pokhara (800m)
Continue down to reach to ulleri then sharply down by 2700 steps down to the bhurjung khola at tikhe dhunga. Follow the river through hill and along the beautiful cascades and pools in the Bhurungdi to finally enter the charming village of Birethanti at the confluence of the Modi and Bhurjung rivers and half hour straight to the Nayapul and from Nayapul by taxi to Pokhara.
